“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”

A man with closed eyes, sitting cross-legged on the floor, wearing a blue shawl with symbols, in front of a large, purple and gold Buddhist mandala painted on the wall.

My first yoga class was in a warzone back in 2009 while serving abroad in the United States Air Force. I immediately understood that this was not merely an exercise, but a users manual for how to live and exist within this human body.

WIth the development of your own spiritual practice you take the reigns and begin to engineer your experience of this life. Yoga allows you to deepen your understanding of not only the physical form, the complex mechanisms of the mind but also the subtle energy that flows within you and merges the form with the formless. An intelligence that exists within every cell of your body, deeply connected to the planet and to the cosmos. The only goal of yoga is to reach a meditative state, to widen the gap between the chain of thoughts long enough for that intelligence to guide you to your own unique destination.

Yoga and breathwork has been a means of liberation for millions of people worldwide for centuries, its one of the oldest forms of science on the planet today. In my yoga, I blend the traditional with the esoteric, the contemporary science with the wisdom passed on by Guru to teacher to student. This practice is for all poeple, inclusive to all body types and especially to those who suffer from psychological ailments such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, panic disorder and sexual trauma. It is an honor to serve you, my purpose in life is to guide the lost souls trapped in darkness back to the light, and although that is a poetic way of saying that what I do as a teacher helps you to recover from the emotional charge of repressed memories, in truth, what we are doing is being the change this world desperately needs. Through regulation of the nervous system, we see that our future becomes much brighter, each new moment is experienced with love, compassion, kindness and grace.
